Apprenticeships

Gary Henri Apprenticeship. Leading to City and Guilds NVQ 2 & 3 qualifications.

We start interviewing in August ,the year before pupils leave school. Those who are successful will join our Thursday night school training group which runs from 17:15 to 19:00. After approximately 8 weeks of training most are offered a Saturday job. This can then lead to a paid apprenticeship.

A Gary Henri student covers all aspects of hairdressing and much more.

During the first year the students are based in our Clifton Studio. This is where all the basic training takes place such as: blow-drying, setting, shampooing, colouring, perming and a small amount of cutting towards the end of the first year. This is only a small example of the subjects covered in the first year. There are many more. As you go into your second year, the work becomes more advanced and you begin to look to your future as a stylist. Classes are deliberately kept small to ensure maximum individual attention. This ensures that talents are developed quickly whilst maintaining a high standard.

Tuition is undertaken by highly qualified instructors, who are hand picked for their ability as creative hairdressers but, also they are able to communicate well with their students.

Group involvement is very important to Gary Henri. This is reflected throughout the training.
